McCoy Farm and Gardens is hosting a town picnic on Monday, May 30. McCoy Farm and Gardens will host its second annual Memorial Day picnic on Monday, May 30 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at 1715 Anderson Pike, across from St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Entertainment will include the Mountain Cove Blue Grass Band and the DAA Dulcimers, as well as several performances by various children’s groups. There will be a large children’s activity area with games, face painting and more, as well as a silent auction.
The Lions Club will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, and there will be pizza available by the slice. There will be several of different food areas to ensure shorter lines and quicker service. Be sure to check out the party house this year, where ice cream and other snacks will be sold. There will be plenty of opportunities to win delicious whole cakes. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, but please no pets, bicycles or motor vehicles on the McCoy property.
In addition to parking at St. Augustine Catholic Church, there will be parking available at several locations on Taft Highway with free shuttle service to McCoy Farm and Gardens.
Proceeds from the event support furthering the effort to improve McCoy Farm and Gardens for all of the community to enjoy.
