Kayak through the Tennessee River Gorge with Outdoor Chattanooga and the Tennessee River Gorge Trust. This is a beginner friendly and wonderful way to experience the Gorge at sunset. The guided paddle tour is 4.4 miles and about two hours on water. Outdoor Chattanooga will provide kayaks, life jackets, and the shuttle back to vehicles at the put in. All paddlers must use Outdoor Chattanooga kayaks.
Trips are on August 22 and September 19 at 6:30 p.m. Participants meet at TVA Boat Ramp off Raccoon Mountain Road; the boat ramp can be found on Google Maps under Raccoon Mountain Trailhead. The trip begins at the boat ramp and ends at Sullivan’s Landing on Highway 41. Cost is $50 per participant.
