Join the Mountain Education Foundation for the MEF Dash and Bash, rain or shine, on Friday, April 22, at Signal Mountain Middle/High School from 6-8:30 p.m. This fun run/street party supports Signal Mountain public schools.
The Dash and Bash includes a 5K race, a 1-mile run, a Toddler Trot and a street party with food, entertainment and activities for the whole family. More than 1,000 people participated in the inaugural MEF Dash and Bash last year.
The second annual MEF Dash and Bash will kickoff in the SMMHS parking lot. On site registration will begin at 5 p.m. Hot Spot Yoga owner Jennifer Lockwood will lead race stretch at 5:45 p.m. and the race will start at 6 p.m.
There will be fun family activities including a flush tank with beloved Signal Mountain educators and coaches, and the Creative Discovery Museum's STEM-mobile will be on-site. Other activities include baseball pitch speed gun, basketball shoot-out, charity jail, cookie decorating, corn hole, dodgeball, football toss, colored hair spray, fake casts, inflatables, obstacle course, petting zoo, pretend nails and tattoos, putt-putt and zombie face painting.
The fun run and street party will raise money for a wide range of essential needs at the three Signal Mountain public schools, Nolan Elementary, Thrasher Elementary and SMMHS. These include staffing, textbooks, classroom technology, science materials, art education and enrichment programs.
Sign up for the race today on the MEF website. Race registrations are just $25 a person and tickets are just $1 each. Tickets for the activities and food will also be sold on site. Walk-up registrations will be available for $30 each.
