The Photographic Society of Chattanooga's (PSC) 10th annual Youth Photography Showcase is now accepting submissions. In order to get young people involved in photography, the PSC sponsors the Youth Photography Showcase each year for students in ninth through 12th grades.
The goal is to highlight outstanding photographs from high school age students in public, private and home schools, as well as in youth groups. This is an excellent opportunity for students to share their digital and print work and receive recognition for their efforts. The deadline for submissions is March 5.
There are two divisions in the Youth Photography Showcase: digital and print. A student may enter up to eight images in each division. There are six categories in each division: Architecture; People/Animals; Scapes; Photojournalism; Color Photographer's Choice or Creative; and Monochrome Photographer's Choice or Creative. For details, forms and rules, go to PSC's website.
Prints are to be turned in March 5 from noon to 2 p.m. at St. John United Methodist Church, 3921 Murray Hills Dr. in Chattanooga. For questions, more details or if unavailable to deliver prints at the designated date and time, please contact Pat Gordy at [email protected].
